# Bitsy (editor)

- Author: Adam Le Doux and the Bitsy authors (./CREDITS.md)
- Source: https://github.com/le-doux/bitsy (read-only archive; development moved to https://codeberg.org/adamledoux/bitsy)
- Commit: ee412fa8c072d16af4aedd90d4ad3fb7306911b0 (main, bitsy 8.14.0; the editor runs straight from editor/, no build step —
editor/script/generated/resources.js is the project's own committed resource bundle)
- Licence: MIT (./LICENSE.md)
- Fonts shipped by the project in editor/font/: Nunito (Google Fonts, SIL OFL 1.1 — ./font-licenses/Nunito-OFL.txt),
  Material Icons (Google, Apache-2.0 — ./font-licenses/MaterialIcons-Apache-2.0.txt), bitsy_ascii_small.ttf and the
.bitsyfont pixel fonts inside resources.js (made for Bitsy, distributed in the MIT repository; the Arabic font is
credited to Alexis Clay in CREDITS.md). The licence texts in font-licenses/ were taken from @fontsource/nunito 5.3.0
and material-icons 1.13.14 on npm and added by Web Curio.
- Vendored files: editor/ (index.html — the original, kept for reference — plus script/, style/, font/, icons/, image/), LICENSE.md, CREDITS.md
- Added by Web Curio: editor/stage.html, font-licenses/, this file
- Modifications to the original: none to the code; editor/stage.html is editor/index.html plus the museum's CSP meta
and sandbox shim (which gives the editor an in-memory localStorage, so work is lost on reload).
- Known limitations in the museum: "save game"/"save data"/"save font"/GIF recording download files, which the
sandboxed exhibit frame blocks; the cat logo opens bitsy.org in a new window, which is also blocked.
"load game"/"load data" (file picker) and "play" work.

- Not included: the documentation site (docs/, a Docusaurus project that needs its own build). stage.html points the editor's about panel at editor/museum-docs/index.html, a short local note, instead of the missing docs.
