    the small panel rebuilds the effect with another character set / cell size / colour / invert.
  - ascii-demo.js — esbuild bundle of host.js + src/index.ts + three + postprocessing:
    `npm i three@0.151.3 postprocessing@6.30.2 esbuild && npx esbuild host.js --bundle --minify --format=iife --legal-comments=eof --outfile=ascii-demo.js`
    (host.js imports a copy of src/index.ts; the repo's own build is plain `tsc`, which would emit the same class.)

- Why a host page: the repository is only the effect class (no demo page).
