# Hanzi Writer

- Author: David Chanin
- Source: https://github.com/chanind/hanzi-writer (site: https://hanziwriter.org)
- Commit: 7cff0a3897f160840182c29577d965707cddb77d (tag v3.7.3) — the library file is the published npm build
  hanzi-writer 3.7.3, dist/hanzi-writer.min.js
- Licence: MIT (./LICENSE); ./COPYING.md (from the npm package) explains the separate data licence
- Character data: 40 characters (永我你好爱水火山木人心中国大小月日风雨云龙鸟鱼马花书字学写天地春秋光梦家门笔墨画)
copied verbatim from the npm package hanzi-writer-data 2.0.1 (one `<char>.json` each), gathered into
  data/characters.js as `window.HANZI_DATA = { "<char>": <contents of <char>.json>, … }`.
Licence: Arphic Public License — ./data/ARPHICPL.TXT and ./data/APL/ (copied from that package). The data derives
from Make Me a Hanzi (© 2016 Shaunak Kishore) and the Arphic PL KaitiM GB / UKai fonts (© 1999 Arphic Technology Co., Ltd.).
- Vendored files: hanzi-writer.min.js (trailing source-map comment removed; the map is not vendored), LICENSE, COPYING.md,
  data/ARPHICPL.TXT, data/APL/
- Added by Web Curio: index.html (a host page written for the museum: a 米字格 card, stroke-order animation,
loop, quiz with mistake hints, outline toggle, speed slider and a 40-character picker; pinyin/glosses are ours),
data/characters.js (the data bundle described above), stage.html (index.html plus the museum's CSP meta and sandbox
  shim), this file
- Modifications to the original: none to the library. By default Hanzi Writer fetches stroke data from the
jsdelivr CDN; the host page passes a `charDataLoader` that reads the bundled data instead, so nothing is loaded
  from other sites.
