# splitting-js

- Author: Stephen Shaw (shshaw)
- Source: https://github.com/shshaw/Splitting — library files from the npm release splitting@1.1.0
  (https://registry.npmjs.org/splitting/-/splitting-1.1.0.tgz)
- Commit: 787de630124f0652d2112f1afd81d238c0c5d90a (the "1.1.0" release commit on master)
- Licence: MIT (./LICENSE = LICENSE.md from the npm package)
- Bundled deps: Kanit 600 / 900 italic (the font splitting.js.org uses), from @fontsource/kanit 5.3.0 — SIL OFL 1.1 (vendor/fonts/kanit-LICENSE)
- Vendored files: dist/splitting.min.js, dist/splitting.js, dist/splitting.css, dist/splitting-cells.css (unmodified from npm)
- Added by Web Curio: stage.html — a host page written by us that only calls the public API
(`Splitting({target, by: "chars" | "words"})`) and animates the result with our own CSS using the custom properties the library
writes (--char-index, --char-total, --word-index). Click replays the entrance animation. Also vendor/fonts, this file.
- Why not the published site: splitting.js.org (gh-pages @ a90e07d672bc29926c8984c8d730b7347401ab02) is a VuePress SPA served from
the domain root (absolute /assets/ paths, history-mode router, Google Fonts); it would need patches inside its minified bundle to
run under /originals/, so a small host page was written instead.
- Modifications to the original: none (library files unmodified).
