# textmode-js

- Author: humanbydefinition
- Source: https://github.com/humanbydefinition/textmode.js — library from the npm release textmode.js@0.18.0
(https://registry.npmjs.org/textmode.js/-/textmode.js-0.18.0.tgz). The TypeScript source is private; the repo and npm
  publish only the built distribution.
- Commit: 319eda27cbabd98f8e333026c00a1eb95e2d18d1 (main, 2026-10-01; package.json version 0.18.0)
- Licence: MIT (./LICENSE from the npm package). The bundle includes a Typr.js subset (MIT) and the default UrsaFont (CC0),
  per the project README.
- Vendored files: dist/textmode.umd.js (unmodified, from npm)
- Added by Web Curio: stage.html — a host page with a sketch written by the Museum that only uses the public API:
a scrolling interference field drawn cell by cell with a glyph ramp and per-cell character/cell colours, a lit 3D torus
rasterised into the character grid on its own layer (mouse moves the light and tilt), and a word whose letters rotate
individually via charRotation(). Also this file.
- Why a host page: the repository's examples/ folder is an API-reference gallery served by a dev server (bare
`import 'textmode.js'`), and many of its sketches load images, videos and fonts from other sites (unsplash, MDN, CDN fonts).
- Modifications to the original: none.
